Two Week Intensive PDC, 72 hour international curriculum plus
cob hands on. Includes camping and three vegetarian meals per day. Located at Restoration Seeds farm, you will learn more about plants than anywhere else. Discount for couples $50 each. Course photographer, student and design site discounts $200.

February 1–March 9, 2014. Weekend course just as temperatures start to warm up to inspire you for spring. Includes garden planning, food forest establishment, pruning, grafting, greenhouse basics and lunch. Discount for couples $50. Student $200 discounts.

We will offer the teacher’s training for the Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course again in 2014.


Tours by Appointment

One hour educational tours of SOPI and Restoration Seeds generally visit the food forest, kitchen, herb, perennial and kids gardens, greenhouses, ducks, chickens, blueberries, rainwater catchment, solar electric, seed saving, green building, irrigation and compost systems. Request a tour.

  1. Cost $20 for first the person and $10 for additional.


Directions and Map

SOPI is located at Restoration Seeds in Ashland, Oregon. Take Highway 66 East from Exit 14 off of Interstate 5. Go six miles and turn right on Old Highway 99 S (Old Siskiyou). We are the second driveway on the left. If arriving by plane Medford Airport (MFR) or the Greyhound arrive Medford, take the shuttle to Ashland for pickup.

Larry Korn lived and farmed with Mr. Fukuoka for two years in the mid-1970’s.  He translated and edited Fukuoka’s The One-Straw Revolution. Larry traveled with Mr. Fukuoka and translated for him during his trips to the U.S. including the Pacific Northwest.  Larry shares personal anecdotes about Mr.

and his

family and

natural

farming.






Cynthia Care specializes in the design of elegant, edible food gardens. An educator for twenty years, she currently offers classes in poultry care, as well as introductory classes in permaculture and biodynamics.
